This high school theater building was originally a church built in 1924. Spee West was hired to perform a complete renovation and seismic upgrade. The entire interior wood framed structure was demolished and a new structural steel frame was assembled inside the building. This new structure supports the original unreinforced masonry walls and heavy timber framed roof. The original architectural elements from 1924 were largely preserved.

Spee West’s projects range in size from $20,000 to $160,000,000. While our recent projects have been focused in the public works sector, we have a history of negotiated private work as well. We take great pride in each job we complete, knowing their impact will last for generations.
